Candle Tips

  1. What should I do the first time I light my wood wick candle?
The first burn is the most important, burn your wood wick candle for at least one hour and ensure wax has melted all the way to the edge of the vessel to avoid tunneling.
  2. What do I do if my wood wick will not light?
Once cooled, break off thin and ashy ends, remove from vessel and relight on a thicker part of the wood wick.
  3. What do I do if my wood wick goes out?
The wick length may be too short or too long. The ideal wick length is around 1/8”. Once cool, trim with nail clippers or simply break off brittle edges, be sure to clear debris from the vessel and relight on the thickest part of the wick.
  4. How long can I burn my wood wick candle?
Do not exceed 3 hours burn time.
  5. When should I stop burning my soy wax candle?
Stop burning your candle when ½” of wax remains in the vessel.
  6. What should I do with my candle vessel when I am done burning my candle?
Please reuse the vessel, recycle at your local eco station or return to The Happy Home Line for reuse. To remove wax, place vessel in bowl, pour boiled water in bowl and edge of wax will release the remainder of wax. Once metal tab is removed wax can be composted.
